Oatmeal Breakfast Ingredients:
Oatmeal, brown sugar and walnut streusel mixture and dried cranberries. No added salt, preservatives or MSG.
Recipe Additions:
4 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt, (optional)
plain or strawberry yogurt
sliced bananas
Oatmeal Breakfast Recipe Directions:
Bring water to boil, add salt and oatmeal. Stir frequently until oatmeal starts to thicken. Add dried cranberries and continue to cook on low until thickened, about 5 minutes. Turn off heat and let stand a few minutes. Spoon oatmeal into bowls and top with crumbled streusel mixture. Serve with yogurt and sliced bananas for a breakfast parfait or with a pat of butter and milk for a warm and satisfying start to the day.
Makes about 4 1-cup servings.

Fruit Streusel Crisp Recipe:
In a medium bowl combine the contents of the brown sugar packet with 1 cup flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup white sugar, and 1/2 cup of the oatmeal. Stir to blend. Drizzle in 1/2 cup melted butter and stir with a fork until mixture clumps. Pat on top of your favorite cut up fruit mixed with 1/4 cup white sugar, the dried cranberries and 1 tsp vanilla or lemon juice. Bake at 350 degrees 30 minutes for berries or 45 minutes for apples or pears.
Apricot Oatmeal Nut Bar Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 package Colorado Morning Oatmeal Breakfast
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup butter, cold
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup apricot jam
1/2 teaspoon salt
Cooking Directions:
In a food processor: Blend brown sugar/nut packet, flour, white sugar and salt. Add cut-up butter, pulse until dough begins to form. Transfer to a bowl and knead in oatmeal. Reserve 1 cup dough and press remaining dough into a Pyrex 9” x 13” pan. Spread jam evenly on top of dough and sprinkle on cranberries. Crumble reserved dough over all. Bake at 375 degrees F for 25 minutes.
Inventive Variation:
For a sweeter bar, try raspberry jam in place of apricot and top with 1 cup shredded coconut. DO NOT BROIL.

Ingredients:
1 package Colorado Morning Oatmeal Breakfast Cereal
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter or shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 ounces chocolate chips (Optional)
Cooking Directions:
Combine eggs and cranberry packet and let stand for half hour. Sift flour with salt and soda. Cream shortening and gradually add sugar and contents of streusel/nut packet. Blend in cranberry/egg mixture. Blend in flour mixture. Stir in oatmeal and chocolate chips (optional). Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake about 12 minutes at 350 degrees F and cool on wire rack. Store in air-tight container.
Cranbery Oatmeal Muffins Recipe:

Contents of brown sugar/nut packet
Add 3 to 4 tablespoons butter, softened
Mix and set aside.

Ingredients:
2/3 cup butter, melted
2 cups brown sugar
1 pint sour cream
4 eggs |
2 cups flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 tablespoon salt (optional) |
Cooking Directions:
- Mix oatmeal and sour cream.
- Add melted butter, eggs and brown sugar.
- Sift remaining dry ingredients and stir into oatmeal mix until just wet.
- Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full.
- Sprinkle with streusel mixture.
- Bake at 375 degrees F for 22 minutes.

1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup almonds
6 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup honey
Cooking Directions:
- In a pan melt butter and honey.
- In a bowl stir together package of oatmeal, streusel/nut mixture with coconut and almonds.
- Add melted butter and honey; mix well and spread on large cookie sheet.
- Bake about 25 minutes tossing occasionally until golden brown.
- Cool completely and mix in cranberry fruit package.
- Store in tightly covered container, refrigerate for up to one month.
