Some like it a little hot! Real Mexican ground chipotle peppers give this delicious spice mix a bit of heat. Blend with sour cream and mayonnaise for a sandwich spread or dip. Recipes on packet. Makes 2 cups.

Ingredients:

Minced garlic, sweet papirika, chipotle powder, celery salt, herbs and spices.

Chipotle Dip Recipe Directions:

  1. Blend contents of chipotle dip mix into one cup sour cream mixed with one cup mayonnaise and allow to stand 30 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
  2. Serve with cut-up vegetables such as sliced red and yellow peppers and broccoli flowerets.

Chipotle Sandwich Spread Recipe Directions:

  1. Blend contents of chipotle dip mix with one cup sour cream mixed with one cup of mayonnaise.
  2. Allow to stand thirty minutes; spread on good bread.
  3. Excellent on a turkey or chicken with avocado sandwich.

Chipotle Toast Recipe Directions:

  1. Stir contents of chipotle dip mix before measuring out 2 1/2  teaspoons of spice mix.
  2. Blend the 2 1/2 teaspoon spices with one cup softened butter, and allow to stand 30 minutes.
    (Seal remaining spices for another use.)
  3. Spread on French or other good bread and toast under broiler about 3 minutes until browned on edges.
  4. Serve in a breadbasket for dinner.

Chipotle Parmesan Dip Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 cups parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 packet Chipotle Bread Spread and Dip Mix
  • 1 purple onion, finely chopped
  • 9 slices bacon, fried crisply and crumbled

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients and spread on rye bread rounds.
  2. Broil for 3 minutes or bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes until brown on the edges.
  3. Arrange on a platter and serve hot.
    This recipe can also be placed in a small casserole and baked at 400 degrees for 30 minutes and served with crackers or bread.

Chicken Salad Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breast halves, simmered gently 15 minutes and cooled.
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins
  • 1 small yellow pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup almonds, sliced
  • 6 pieces bacon, fried crisply and crumbled
    For Dressing:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2/3 cup mango chutney
  • 2 tablespoon Chipotle Bread Spread and Dip Mix

Directions:

  1. Cut up chicken breast, add additional ingredients and stir in dressing.
  2. A delicious salad served on bread squares or Belgium endive lettuce for an appetizer.

Chipotle Ranch Dressing Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 6 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 4 green onions, chopped (optional)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons Chipotle Bread Spread and Dip Mix

Directions:

  1. Whisk all ingredients to blend. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Great on top of hamburgers or as a salad dressing.
